Genetal Impressions
Those who have already been on the Camino Inca would probably agree that even many thousand words can not describe the beautiness of that trail. Amazing landscapes, stunning mountains, beautiful plants and interesting ruins. Apart from the few remarks below for each day I suggest that you simply enjoy the selection of photos from that part of the trip.

Health: I got a pretty bad cold and don't feel very well (fully recovered only a couple of days after I got home).

We are there: after a very early wake up we arrive at the sungate for sunrise. I will never forget the view down at Machu Picchu. In "The Heights of Machu Picchu" Pablo Neruda uses the following words:

"Then up the ladder of the earth I climbed
through the barbed jungle's thickets
until I reached you Machu Picchu.

Tall city of stepped stone,
home at long last of whatever earth
had never hidden in her sleeping clothes.
In you two lineages that had run parallel
met where the cradle both of man and light
rocked in a wind of thorns."
